christchurch and district model flying club

Remember those spotters’ magazines that were so popular during and immediately after WWII? They lived on in an RAF publication called “Recognition” which was full of grainy snaps of aircraft. You had to decide which were Hawker Hunters and which were MIG 17s (or whatever the quiz of the month was.)  Great fun for schoolboys and young pilots.

Now you can do the same by “spotting” the subjects in this display.  All photos were taken in 2006/07 in the local area or the Scillies.

Send your answers on a postcard or email to the Editor.  The first correct (or most nearly correct) answer gets a free trip to the Aviation Museum at Bournemouth International Airport (Open to Club members only - no free trips from New Zealand!)
