This was the first time this particular competition has been held, last year's efforts were thwarted by the foot and mouth outbreak. It is intended to do a bit of fine tuning to the rules, so if you have any observations or suggestions, please let me or any committee member have them.

From May to August there was a very tight competition between Brian Brockway and Allan Parker, both having flown maximums except for Allan dropping 32 seconds in June. The question was could Brian fly a 10 minute max in September, the final month, and if not, could Allan catch him? As it turned out Brian completed a full house of maximums throughout the competition.

Jim Telford who finished third overall made a good start in the first three months then went missing! John Harding and Alan Ford came in too late with their Gentle Ladies to be forces to be reckoned with, perhaps next year?

Full results are given in the table. I would like to thank Brian for covering my absences, which were most of the season, and making sure a bungee and stopwatch were always available.
