MORE AIRCRAFT FROM COMPTON ABBAS There were lots of civil aircraft movements during the time we were there, at times it was really busy on the airstrip, with warplanes taxying, civils landing or taking off and lots to watch all the time. Socata TB-9 Tampico based at Denham Pass Piper Cherokee Warrior II, based at Dunkeswell Piper Cherokee Challenger Cessna 172B Skyhawk, from Sandown Piper Cherokee 180C based at Southend Grob G109B took off but returned almost immediately with the cabin door open! A latch failiure apparently, but it didn’t fly again while we were there. Skyranger Nynja (I’m not kidding), probably based at Popham Piper Chrokee Archer, perhaps based at Gloucester Eurocopter EC135 dropped in for refs
