We are a model flying club club based in and around the Christchurch area. We have over 100 members who fly most types of radio controlled aircraft, including gliders (both thermal and slope soaring), electric power fixed wing (both land and water based), helicopters and indoor models. We have sole access to flying at excellent private sites: our main flat field flying is done at Oldfield on Sopley Farm, with occasional access to Strawberry Field near Lymington. Longham Lake to the west of Bournemouth Airport is our unique water flying location. We use the sports hall at Durlston School for indoor flying. Slope soaring is done mainly at the varied Purbeck and Win Green sites and it is possible at Barton Cliffs locally

Our annual membership fee is very reasonable: you can join here. In order to fly with us you must be a BMFA* member and registered with the CAA**.

We welcome flyers of all ability levels, including beginners. Choosing the right model with which to learn the basic flying skills is very important, and expert advice is available on all types of model, large or small, helicopters or fixed wing, gliders, or electric powered, from scale models of full size aircraft to specialist high performance aerobatic or racing types. Glider and electric powered model training is available for anyone wishing to try their hand before taking the plunge. Once hooked, help is at hand at all stages in the choice of appropriate radio equipment and through to those all important first flights. Club meetings and technical sessions are held every month at Bransgore Village Hall and Bransgore Community Church.

*BMFA - the British Model Flying Association, to which the Club is affiliated. Membership benefits include your compulsory model flying insurance and a magazine four times a year. Membership fees can be included with your annual Club membership.

**CAA - the Civil Aviation Authority, which all model fliers must be registered with, for a small fee. This can also be paid for with your Club membership.
