TIM’S £10 SEAPLANE
Finally put together the ARTF Britflight HTWO-O bought in the last club auction. A new old stock slightly incomplete kit, 43 in span Depron foam/balsa construction. The kit was pre covered and required servos, motor and a few fittings. No instructions though. The tail required some mods to get the incidence looking about right, and motor mount modded to fix to hull rather than wing to stop it flexing and I 3D printed a motor cowl to keep he water spray out of the motor. Added a few decals as a nod towards the Grumman sea planes that used to frequent our local beach in Auckland harbour when I lived there as a youngster. (It would “rise off grass” at Strawberry Field, Tim - Ed)
