PROPOSED REGULATIONS FOR UNMANNED AIRCRAFT

You may remember that the European Aviation Safety Agency is preparing some regulations for unmanned aircraft in response to the danger posed by unregulated drone activity (near airports for instance). At the moment the proposals sweep up all remotely controlled aircraft into one category, impacting quite severely on our sport.

I wrote to my MP, Chris Chope voicing our concerns and he contacted the Transport Minister for Aviation, International Trade and Europe, into whose remit this legislation falls.
