MINUTES OF A COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 26 AUGUST 2021

 

Present: Jon Goddard (Chair), Brian Brockway (Membership Sec), Alan Butterworth (Treasurer), Mike Roach (Secretary), Alex Bush (member), Nick King (member), David Bintcliffe (member)

Apologies: Martin Burr (Vice Chair)

  • Strawberry Field. There was discussion on the various options open to the Club and the owner but no meetings had been held. It was agreed to wait and see.
  • The “Picnic Site” slope soaring location. The key personnel on the Army side were on leave and there had been no further progress.
  • Bransgore Village Hall Meetings and Monthly Programme.  No change to current arrangements. Alan B said he had not received an invoice.
  • Monthly Programme. Mike R said he had asked Craig Clarkstone of “Jetworks” (depron construction EDF or pusher jet model kits with 3D printed parts) to talk to the Club at the July meeting.
  • Indoor Flying at Durleston Court. No change to the current situation. Jon G though he would have to would wait until the School returned from holiday before making progress.
  • AOB.
    • C&F Competition. Mike R had put out the notice for the event and would publicise the BBQ BYO option. There was no prize or award for the builder of the best model who had not previously won the competition. He would investigate.
    • Member rejoining. Alex B said the Keith Young was thinking of rejoining. It was agreed that he did not need to pay a rejoining fee and that he should pay £5 for the remainder of this year.
    • Membership Fees for 2022. There was no agreement over whether the fees should be increased. A decision would be reached at the next meeting and a proposal made at the AGM.
    • Longham Flying. The Club flying agreement had been extended for three years from April 2021
  • Next Meeting. Thu 25 November at the Chairman’s house
