ANDY SAYERS - FLYING IN THE HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS
We had a very special talk at our May meeting by Andy Sayers, all the way from Lincolnshire, at the invitation of our Chairman, Jon Goddard. It was fascinating to hear about his flying exploits in a challenging and potentially very dangerous environment “take the wrong valley and you can’t get out of it” was one of the more chilling comments.The Scottish Air Ambulance, the only publicly funded operation of its sort in the UK, perfomas a valuable, indeed essential service and it was a pleasure to hear Andy tell it as it is.
